The Short Answer
Yes, restroom trailers need a water source — but it does not need to be a permanent hookup. A standard water spigot within about 100 feet is typically sufficient. If no water is available, we can provide a fresh water tank and pump system.
What Counts as a Water Source?
A standard outdoor spigot or hose bib on the venue property is usually all that’s needed. The trailer connects via a garden hose. We bring the necessary hoses and connectors. The water does not need to be high-pressure — a typical residential spigot provides enough flow.
Off-Grid Water Solutions
For venues without any water source — remote outdoor locations, certain farms, and some private properties — we provide a fresh water tank and pump system. The tank is filled before the event and the pump provides the pressure needed for flushing, hand washing, and vanity sinks. This system works seamlessly and is a common solution for outdoor events.
